Celebrate July–Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Well maybe no surprises today, but definitely on July 10th. This Friday is the official Teddy Bear Picnic Day! It's time to celebrate that classic, and slightly menacing, children's song. Really, that song used to scare me a little! But don't let my unresolved childhood issues stop you from having a fabulous afternoon. Grab a blanket, some PB&J;, and your favorite stuffed bear and head to the park.

A couple months before Emily was born (sorry you missed it Em) my mom had a Teddy Bear's Picnic for the kids in our neighborhood. I thought it was the greatest thing ever! Every one won a prize for their bear (my brother brought a stuffed monkey) like fluffiest, biggest, tiniest, etc. I kept my little badge for ages!
