14 Days of Loves: Day 6

This is one of the most serendipitous finds of my life! I use Popsicle sticks to choose students to answer questions, work with partners, take turns, etc. I think most teachers do something similar. I used to store my sticks in a can, but once upon a back-to-school I couldn't find the can. I had an empty index card box handy so I recruited that to my cause. Then there was no going back!
I love that the sticks lay horizontally so I can peek at who I'm picking. The lid is handy for holding already picked names. And once the lid is snapped shut, a few shakes mixes up the names really well.

I actually keep a box of sticks in the back of my room as well as near the board because I use them that often. It's just so handy!!
