Description

This is a free sampler of Segmenting & Blending Fluency Homework.. It contains 6 weeks of homework designed to help support your students in mastering nonsense word fluency. When good readers come to an unknown word, they know how to segment and blend the word by taking it apart into its sounds and then putting the sounds together into a word. These pages will help your students master those vital skills.

There are 12 pages included in the sampler. There is an example of each of the levels of practice in our Segmenting & Blending Fluency Homework Bundle.Each week contains:
• 2 pages (copy double sided)
• 4 days of practice
• Parent Tips

Pages 2-3
Segmenting & Blending Fluency Level A
• 3 letter (CVC) words
• same vowel word families
• 1 vowel per week

Pages 4-5
Segmenting & Blending Fluency Level B
• 3 letter (CVC) words
• mixed vowel word families (example: -at, -it, -ot)
• 3-5 word families per week

Pages 6-7
Segmenting & Blending Fluency Level C
• 3 letter (CVC) words
• all spelling patterns together

Pages 8-9
Segmenting & Blending Fluency Level D
• 3-5 letter (CVC, CCVC, CVCC) words
• beginning blends and digraphs
• ending digraphs (-ck, -ll, -ss, -ff)

Pages 10-11
Segmenting & Blending Fluency Level E
• 3-6 letter (CVC, CCVC, CVCC, CCVCC) words
• beginning blends (including 3-letter blends) and digraphs
• ending blends and digraphs
