We’re sneaking in under the wire with this one, but here is a Dr. Seuss number game with two levels of play.
The first is basic counting practice. You’ll need a copy of the hat/stripes and a die. (Download the file here: Download Dr seuss hat.)
The kiddo rolls the die and adds that many stripes to the hat. Print several copies and you can practice comparing more and less.
For the second hat, the kids roll the die and add the corresponding stripe to the hat. Great number recognition here!
Print hats for multiple players and play this as a racing game. Who can fill their hat first? Get the file here: Download Dr seuss hat numbers
Thank you so much! We are going to use this tomorrow!
I love Dr. Seuss activities, and this looks like lots of fun! Thanks so much for sharing your cute printable! I featured your post as the Free Printable of the Day at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow and on Pinterest.
This idea is adorable but a little too easy for my kindergarteners at this point. I’m going to use your template and add larger numbers to the 1st download. Do you mind if I share your link on my blog when I compile my new favorite Dr. Seuss activities?? 🙂

Sure thats fine. Email me at [email protected] when you do. We definitely made this with toddlers and preschoolers in mind so I can see why you found it easy.
